Sailing The Roads
I have been on the road for one year and have been through fourteen countries located in Central and South America. I like traveling throughout all these countries such as Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador, Peru, and Uruguay. Some amazing places I’ve been to on my travels are the temple of the sun, the temple of the moon, the amazon rainforest, and Tikal. I’ve also seen some amazing animals such as spider monkeys, howler monkeys, titi monkey, llamas, alpaca, crocodiles, toucans, and a pink dolphin and many more. Some exciting experiences I’ve had are celebrating day of the dead in Mexico, going volcano boarding down an active volcano in Nicaragua, going down the Panama Canal, walking the train tracks to Machu Picchu, seeing the tallest palm trees in the world in Colombia, seeing the salt cathedral also in Colombia, crossing the equator in Ecuador, and visiting a ghost town in Chile. Of all the countries, Mexico is my favorite country because of the culture. I like their beliefs and celebrations. Some of my favorite places in Mexico are temple of the sun and moon in Teotihuacan, Agua Azul in Chiapas, Bahia de Concepcion in Baja, and the cenotes in the Yucatan. The most amazing experience for me was in Ecuador going down the amazon river. We saw a lot of trees, we also saw an abandoned hotel that we stopped at because it rained, and we also saw a ton of animals. I like traveling the world! It’s nice having a year on the road. Three reasons why I like traveling are I get to see new things, I get to try new food, and I get to explore. I look forward to seeing a glacier and I want to see some ice fall off the glacier in Patagonia, which is in Chile and Argentina. Traveling the world is amazing to me and I’m excited to continue traveling.
